Kalou Keeps Chelsea's Title Hopes Alive

A goal in the 89th minute from substitute Salomon Kalou earned Chelsea a precious 2-1 victory over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

The last-gasp winner closes the gap on Manchester United to just three points, with the leaders hosting third-placed Arsenal at The Emirates on Sunday.

Tottenham took the lead in the first half when Brazilian midfielder Raniere Sandro fired an unstoppable half-volley past Petr Cech in the 19th minute. And the visitors looked as though they would take their lead into the second half.

But on the stroke of halftime, a dipping 25-yard shot from Frank Lampard wriggled through the legs of Tottenham keeper Heurelho Gomes before trickling towards the goal.

Gomes was quick to recover and looked to have stopped the ball from completely crossing the goal line with his fingertips. But the linesman thought otherwise and instructed referee Andre Mariner to award the goal.

Chelsea pushed hard for the winner in the second period without making the breakthrough -- Didier Drogba hit the crossbar from a free kick, Lampard went close with another long-range effort and a penalty claim was waved away when substitute Kalou -- on for Fernando Torres -- tangled with French defender Younes Kaboul.

It took another moment of controversy for the Blues to finally take the lead as Drogba's short pass found Kalou on the edge of the six-yard box, who then prodded the ball past a helpless Gomes.

TV replays suggested Kalou may have been marginally offside when Drogba passed the ball, but the goal stood setting up an increasing tense finale to the end of the Premier League season.

The defeat leaves Spurs unchanged in fifth place, but they now trail fourth place Manchester City -- who play West Ham tomorrow -- by four points.

Blackburn Rovers beat Bolton Wanderers 1-0 at Ewood Park to boost their chances of Premier League survival.

Swedish defender Martin Olsson 20th minute goal moves Blackburn up to 15th place above fellow strugglers Birmingham City who play Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.

Wigan remain in the relegation zone after Everton fought back from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw at the DW Stadium.

Charles N'Zogbia's 21st minute strike put Wigan ahead only to concede a penalty moments later at the other end when he brought down Leon Osman.

Mikel Arteta stepped up to take the spot kick but Wigan's keeper Ali Al Habsi made a spectacular save.

The Omani keeper was called into action again in the 78th minute Wigan's Hugo Rodallega hand-balled in the box.

But this time Leighton Baines made no mistake, firing the ball into the roof of the net to deny the Lactics all three points.

Blackpool remain in 17th place, level on points with Wigan after a 0-0 draw with FA Cup finalists Stoke City.

Fulham scored three goals for the second successive game to sink Sunderland 3-0 at the Stadium of Light.

French striker Gael Kakuta scored his first goal for the club in the 33rd minute with Simon Davies adding two more in the second half.

The win moves Fulham up to ninth with 45 points to snuff out any lingering doubts about relegation.

Ten-man West Bromwich Albion came from a goal behind to beat Aston Villa 2-1 at the Hawthorns.

Villa were gifted the lead in the fourth minute when Ivory Coast defender Abdoulaye Meite turned the ball into his own net.

But Roy Hodgson's men battled on and were rewarded with an equalizer by Peter Odemwingie on the hour mark.

But three minutes later they were down to ten men as Austrian midfielder Paul Scharner was sent off for a second bookable offence.

But their resilience in defense was rewarded with a late winner Youssouf Mulumbu popped up to score the winner six minutes from time moving West Brom up to 11th place with 43 points -- two places and two points above Villa.

Zimbabwe's Mugabe In Rome For John Paul II's Beatification

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe arrived in Rome for the beatification of the late Pope John Paul II, airport officials said Saturday, despite his EU-wide travel ban for alleged human rights abuses.

The Vatican did not personally invite Mugabe to the Sunday event, said the Rev. Federico Lombardi of the Holy See Press office.

But a diplomatic relationship exists between Zimbabwe and the Vatican, a sovereign state that is not a member of the European Union.

"It (the Vatican) cannot tell Mugabe not to come if he wants to take part, just like it wouldn't tell no to (U.S. President Barack) Obama or (French President Nicolas) Sarkozy, if they had wanted to come," Lombardi said.

The beatification is the biggest event in Vatican City since Pope John Paul II's death six years ago.

Hundreds of thousands of Catholic faithful will gather in St. Peter's Square to witness the ceremony, the penultimate step toward the pontiff's sainthood.

On Friday, workers exhumed the pope's casket from its tomb in the Vatican Grottoes.

"As can be recalled, the Pope was buried in three coffins," Lombardi said. "The first of wood -- which was displayed during the funeral. The second of lead, which is sealed. And the third -- external one -- which is also made of wood and was the one revealed this morning at the moment of the extraction from the tomb.

"It is in a good state of preservation, even though showing signs of the passage of time."

After the Sunday ceremony, the casket's permanent home is likely to be the basilica's Chapel of St. Sebastian.

Beatification means the candidate can be referred to as "blessed," and that one miracle has been confirmed in his or her name. Another miracle is required for canonization, the formal act of declaring someone a saint.

While normally a person cannot become a saint until 50 years after their death, John Paul II was put on a fast track to sainthood by the current Pope Benedict XVI, who waived the normal five-year waiting period to begin the beatification process.

The city will also provide 3,000 police and traffic officers, thousands of volunteers and additional buses and metro services.

A no-fly zone will be in effect over St. Peter's Square, and field hospitals and medical assistance points will be set up.

The cost of the beatification ceremony to the city of Rome alone will be 3.5 million euros, according to government officials.

Newton First Pick In NFL Draft

The Carolina Panthers selected Auburn University quarterback Cam Newton as the first pick of the 2011 NFL draft on Thursday.

The Panthers were given first pick as a result of being the worst-performing franchise last season and had been widely tipped to opt for the 21-year-old.

Denver Broncos were allotted second choice in the draft, and the two-time Super Bowl winners chose Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller.

The draft took place amid a dispute between NFL teams and players over pay rates.

NFL owners appeal ruling, allow some operations

Talks between the players and the teams over contracts broke down last month, resulting in the players union disbanding.

The dispute has brought the start of the NFL season, set to get under way on September 8, into jeopardy.

Newton helped Auburn to their first undefeated season last year and their first National Championship in 53 years.

The Georgia native also won the Heisman Trophy, an award given to the best player in collegiate football.

"It was like a shock went through my body," Newton said on the official NFL web site. "I'm just blessed. ... I can't wait to get to my new hometown of Charlotte."

"He has special qualities," Panthers general manager Marty Hurney said. "We've had a strong feeling for some time that he was the person who we felt could come in and have the most impact on our football team."

Marcell Dareus, a defensive linesman from the University of Alabama, was selected third by the Buffalo Bills.

Wide receiver A.J. Green was picked fourth and will play for the Cincinnati Bengals, with Patrick Peterson, a corner back from Louisiana State University, selected by the Arizona Cardinals.

Party Time In London As Crowds Celebrate Royal Wedding

After William and Catherine's fleeting first kiss on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, the vast crowd gathered below chanted a brief chorus of "kiss, kiss, kiss" -- before the couple treated the adoring spectators to their second kiss as newly weds.

A tidal wave of well wishers had surged along the Mall to the palace after the royal procession had passed. Some ran to secure a prime viewing position, some were jumping up and down in excitement, others were simply screaming -- all in a spontaneous outpouring of affection for the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The royal kisses were met with deafening cheers and Union Jack flags were waved in unison as RAF planes flew overhead. Some spectators even jumped into the waters of the Queen Victoria Memorial.

Among the crowd, Shelley Foster, 29, said that while she wasn't a royalist, she appreciated the royal family. "We don't get a chance to celebrate being British and this is something the country has needed for a long time -- we needed it to unite everyone," she said.

Graham Prince, 72, left Manchester in northern England at 5 a.m. to join the crowds along the Mall. He said: "It's a great feeling to see everybody so happy -- and it's not just English people either, there are people from all over the world."

In Hyde Park, where three huge cinema screens had been set up to show live coverage of events, red, white and blue confetti filled the air as crowds cheered the royal couple.

The whole park stood to applaud the first kiss, some popping open bottles of champagne.

Among the revelers in Hyde Park, Jade Saunders, 26, a teacher, said: "We love the dress. We predicted lace and a deep v-neck. We hoped for a longer train but she looked gorgeous, glowing.

"It's nice she had her hair down, it's more natural, more modest. She did it well, just lovely."

Maxine Steer, 50, a company secretary, said: "It's absolutely amazing. I think they're so happy and in love.

"She looked absolutely amazing. I think she stuck to her character and her nature and looked beautiful.

"She's a real people person and I think he's chosen someone like his mother. I wonder who thinks they're the luckiest, her or him. I suspect it's him."

Many spectators had been in position for hours, the crowds at Westminster swelling as Big Ben tolled six this morning.

Some wedding watchers emerged, bleary-eyed, faces as crumpled as their clothes, from tents pitched haphazardly along the pavement.

Others, looking slightly more refreshed, flowed out of nearby Tube stations, clutching paper cups of coffee, fold-up deckchairs and bags of supplies to see them through the long wait ahead.

Among the most ardent royal fans in the crowds at Westminster were June Plackett and Jayne Camlin, from Derbyshire in northern England. The pair -- friends since childhood -- spent three days and two nights camped out on the pavement opposite the Abbey, so keen were they to secure a good view of the wedding of the year.

"We've been here since Wednesday," said Plackett, decked out from head to toe in Union Jack flags. "It's today's news, tomorrow's history -- you cannot miss it.

"Everybody else thinks I'm crazy but you've got to be here."

Plackett and Camlin are old hands at big royal events: They were in the crowd for Charles and Diana's wedding in 1981, and for Diana's funeral in 1997. They also came to pay their respects to the Queen Mother when she died in 2002.

For Plackett, the wedding day was worth the wait: "It was wonderful -- we had a fantastic view. The dress was just how I thought it would be -- perfect, absolutely perfect."

But the royal bride wasn't the only one wearing a wedding dress. Mary Bustamante traveled from Colombia for the festivities -- she's staying with friends she met on Facebook -- and brought her own wedding dress with her for the occasion.

She said: "I've always been interested in the royal family, reading about them all the time, and it was important for me to be here -- it's a once-in-a-lifetime event.

"When I decided to come, my husband said I should take my dress with me -- it's a second chance to wear it."

Back in Hyde Park, even though the royal party had retreated inside Buckingham Palace, the people's party was just getting started. A band played music and revelers danced and cheered.

Jessica Brandenburger, 18, a student from Basel, Switzerland said: "In my country we don't have any royalty, so this is really like a fairytale and it's real.

"I think they're perfect, I'm really happy for them."

Syrian Ambassador Not Welcome At Royal Wedding, UK Says

Syria's ambassador to the United Kingdom is not welcome at the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Foreign Office announced Thursday, after saying earlier he had been invited.

The reversal comes "in the light of this week's attacks against civilians by the Syrian security forces, which we have condemned," the Foreign Office said in a statement.

"The presence of the Syrian Ambassador at the Royal Wedding would be unacceptable," Foreign Secretary William Hague decided, according to the statement.

"Buckingham Palace shares the view of the Foreign Office," the statement added.

Prince William, the second in line to the British throne, is marrying his college girlfriend Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey in London on Friday. The entire diplomatic corps was invited as a matter of protocol.

Middleton, the presumptive future Queen of England, will not promise to obey her husband Prince William -- the likely future king -- when they marry on Friday, an order of service released Thursday shows.

They will promise to love, comfort, honor, and keep each other in identical vows.

Uganda Opposition Leader Arrested Again

A top Ugandan opposition leader was arrested again Thursday during a "walk to work" campaign to protest rising food prices and increased cost of living.

Kizza Besigye was detained a day after he was freed on bail following another arrest. He spent the Easter holiday in detention.

Besigye has vowed to "walk to work" to protest every Monday and Thursday, contending the government is manipulating prices of fuel and other commodities. He has been arrested a number of times this month.

During his latest arrest Thursday, men in civilian clothing smashed his car and pepper-sprayed him. He was then loaded in a police car.

President Yoweri Museveni has warned that anyone taking part in the walk is breaking the law and will be prosecuted.

The leader of the Forum for Democratic Change lost a February election to Museveni. The incumbent has led the east African nation for 25 years.

Besigye, a former doctor to Museveni, lost previous presidential bids in 2001 and 2006.

Toddler Shoots Mom Dead, Boy's Father Tells Florida Police

A toddler shot and killed his mother, the boy's father told South Florida police, who say they will talk to the 2-1/2-year-old.

The father, who called 911, told police he was trying to take the firearm away from the child when it discharged.

The boy's mother -- Julia Bennett, 33 -- was shot once in the back and died from the injury, said Miramar Police spokeswoman Tania Rues.

"What we do know is that last Wednesday, shortly after 7 o'clock, we received a 911 call from a gentleman stating that his 2-1/2-year-old son accidentally shot his mother -- the boy's mother," Rues told HLN's Vinnie Politan.

Rues said investigators will talk to the toddler about the shooting, but that "due to the age, we're not expecting to get much."

The boy's father has not been identified by police. They said he has cooperated fully with the investigation, which started with a 911 call he placed on April 20.

In that roughly 4-1/2-minute call, a man's voice can be heard asking the dispatcher what to do. He speaks with a thick accent and seems overcome with emotion as he tries to explain what happened.

"My son picked it up and I tried to grab it," the man said about the gun. "Oh God, I can't believe this."

Rues said the State Attorney's office will decide whether to file charges. The boy's father could face charges of negligence, she said.

Bennett and the boy's father were not married and did not live together at the time of her death, according to Rues.

"This should serve as a reminder to all parents out there to not leave firearms accessible to children. Even if you believe the firearm is not loaded, it's just not smart. It's not safe," she said.

Residents Evacuate As Volcano Spews Ashes In Ecuador

Authorities in Ecuador closed schools and evacuated residents in areas near a volcano Tuesday after ashes spewing from its crater fell on homes and farms, state media reported.

Ashes from Tungurahua -- which means "throat of fire" in the native Quechua language -- rose more than 7 kilometers (4 miles) into the air Tuesday, the government news agency said.

Authorities issued an alert as monitors detected six eruptions, ranging from moderate to large, and a significant ash cloud Tuesday, state media said.

"According to our observations, damages to crops, pastures and small effects to the health of people are already evident," the country's geophysics institute said.

Officials first detected increased activity in the volcano April 20, with monitors observing regular small eruptions of ash and gas.

The glacier-capped, 16,478-foot volcano has erupted periodically since 1999, when increased activity led to the temporary evacuation of the city of Banos at the foot of the volcano.

Tungurahua erupted in December, sending ash and lava spewing nearly a mile into the sky.

Major eruptions also occurred in August 2006 and February 2008, according to the government's emergency management agency.

Before the recent activity, the last major eruption was between 1916 and 1918. Relatively minor activity continued until 1925, the Smithsonian Institution said on its volcano website.

The volcano is 140 kilometers (86 miles) south of Quito, Ecuador's capital.

Suspect In Colorado Bomb Case To Appear In Court

A man suspected of planting a bomb at a mall in Colorado on the 12th anniversary of the attack at Columbine High School is scheduled to appear in federal court in Denver on Wednesday.

Earl Albert Moore was arrested Tuesday at a grocery store in Boulder, Colorado, authorities said.

The arrest ended a search that started last week after a pipe bomb was discovered on April 20 in a back hallway at a mall in Littleton.

It was just a few miles from the high school where Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed more than a dozen people before committing suicide.

The discovery of the bomb sent a ripple of fear through the community, which was marking the 12th anniversary of the Columbine killings.

Dozens of area schools were locked down, but authorities ruled out any connection between the bomb and the Columbine anniversary.

It was not immediately known what federal charges Moore will face.

The suspect allegedly planted the bomb just a week after he was released from the medium-security Federal Correctional Institution in South Carolina, authorities said.

Moore was serving time for bank robbery, a federal law enforcement source told CNN.

LISA “Left Eye” Lopes died 9 years ago yesterday, April 25

The R&B emcee — real name Lisa Nicole Lopes — shot to fame  as a member of the of the R&B threesome TLC, consisting of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas.
As the hip hop half of the Grammy winning trio, Left Eye provided infectiously memorable rap verses on such TLC hits as Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg, What About Your Friends, Hat 2 da Back, No Scrubs and Waterfalls.
On April 25, 2002, Lisa Lopes was the sole fatality of a car accident in Honduras. Driving a Mitsubishi Pajero, Lopes allegedly tried to swerve around a truck, but there was another vehicle heading towards them in the opposite direction. To avoid a head-on collision, Lopes swerved all the way off the road. The vehicle rolled several times after hitting two trees, throwing Lopes and three others out of the windows. She died of neck injuries and severe head trauma. The passenger in the front passenger seat was videotaping at the time, so the last seconds leading up to the swerve that resulted in the fatal accident were recorded on video. Lopes’ mother Wanda later sued Mitsubishi Motors, as the Pajero was prone to rollovers according to a 2001 Consumer Reports review.
Her funeral was held at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia. Engraved upon her casket were the lyrics to her portion of Waterfalls: “Dreams are hopeless aspirations, in hopes of coming true, believe in yourself, the rest is up to me and you.” Lopes was buried at Hillandale Memorial Gardens, in Lithonia, Georgia, USA.

Charlie Sheen dumped: Goddess did it by text message, he says

Charlie Sheen was dumped by "goddess" Rachel Oberlin via text message, he reportedly revealed during the question-and-answer portion of his Saturday show in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he also explained why he won't be voting for Donald Trump for president.
Too bad, so sad, Charlie. He'd said on stage April 17 that Oberlin -- porn name Bree Olson -- had bailed on the "Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option" tour because she was homesick, or maybe, he hinted, because she wanted to have sex with people who were not Mr. Sheen. The adult-film actress, 24, at first denied breaking up with Sheen, again, but was reportedly back with her folks in Indiana as of Saturday, the New York Post said. Looks as if her mom might worry a little bit less now.
Sheen, whose family court date last Tuesday made him an hour late to his show in Washington, D.C., will send his lawyers into action again this Tuesday to pick up where they left off on that other little matter: his $100-million lawsuit against his former "Two and a Half Men" employers, and whether that will be settled in arbitration or in the court system.
By the way, the police escort that allowed Sheen's ride to barrel along at 80 mph from the airport to the show in D.C. last week? It's being investigated. A police commander didn't know officers had escorted Sheen, according to a D.C. police email obtained Monday by the Associated Press. Several policies appear to have been broken, Police Chief Cathy Lanier told the AP.
And about Trump? Calling it reason enough not to vote for him, Sheen told the Florida audience that to cheer up the actor a while back at "The Celebrity Apprentice" boss' Mar-a-Lago club, the Donald gave him a pair of fake Harry Winston cuff links. The warlock added that he didn't realize the baubles were CZs and tin, rather than diamonds and platinum, until he had them appraised during divorce negotiations with Brooke Mueller.
Hmm. We might not vote for a guy who actually believed Donald Trump had handed him a pair of $100,000 cuff links as a turn-that-frown-upside-down gift. And then needed an appraiser to tell him those weren't diamonds set in platinum.

Zsa Zsa Gabor: Baby for the Ailing 94 year old actress Zsa Zsa Gabor?

ZSA Zsa Gabor’s husband wants them to have a baby

Although the 94-year-old screen legend has suffered from a string of health problems in recent months — including having part of her right leg amputated when gangrene set in — her spouse Prince Frederic von Anhalt, 67, visited a Beverly Hills fertility clinic last week to fulfill her “dream” of them having a child.
Frederic — who made a sperm donation — plans to use his DNA and the egg and womb of a surrogate mother but says the baby will be his and Zsa Zsa’s and he can’t wait to break the news to her.
“It was always my wife’s dream for us to have a child … and even though we won’t be using any of her eggs, she would be thrilled to know I’m going through with this,” he said.
“I am so excited!! I hope Zsa Zsa is going to hang around for awhile. I want her to see and hold the baby’s hand. She will be a mother again at 95!! It was her wish to have a boy.”
Zsa Zsa’s only child Francesca — whose father is the actress’ ex-husband, hotelier Conrad Hilton — has previously accused Frederic of creating a “circus atmosphere” around her mother.
A spokesperson for Francesca said, “Francesca is not pleased with the situation and the care of her mother and what has been happening to her while at home. It is not certain what kind of care and security she is receiving.”

iPhone 5 to ship in September

So the rumors are true. I heard recently that the iPhone 5 would not be making its debut at Apple’s WWDC like all of its predecessors. Reuters spoke with three nameless sources from within the tight-knit infrastructure of Apple, who confirmed these details. The iPhone 5 will begin production in July/August and will then begin shipping sometime in September.
An unprecedented fall release? I am somewhat taken aback. A year in the life of an Apple customer is pretty simple and consistent. There are two events that iOS users looks forward to each year: Apple’s WWDC and Apple’s Music Event. These two events consistently hold releases for Apple devices and OS updates. So why is Apple choosing to do it this way when every other iPhone release has been during the WWDC in June?
The WSJ just released some numbers regarding iOS saturation compared to Android within the US. It would appear that despite Android being the most popular smartphone platform, the whole story is still untold. If you combine other devices that are running iOS and Android respectively, Apple comes out in the lead by a margin of 59 percent. Since Apple knows this about themselves and their product, perhaps this is a bit of a power-play to let everyone know that they do things by their own watch?
The other thing that we must consider is the supply of the hardware. It wasn’t until recently that the esteemed white iPhone 4 was finally announced. Apple have also been hit with iPad 2 supply shortages, and possibly some initial production issues. The fact is, they are also selling so many devices so fast that they simply may not have the supply ready for the demand.

College friend reveals Kate and William's early romance

A close college friend of Prince William, Julian Knight was there when Kate Middleton walked down the catwalk in "that" see-through dress and was one of a select few who knew about the couple's relationship before it was public knowledge.
Knight lived down the street from Prince William in their second year studying at the University of St Andrews, in the small Scottish town, and saw first-hand Kate and William's early years as a couple.
"They were always spending time together, going down to Anstruther to go banana boating or playing golf or going for a walk," says Knight.
Because of a media blackout in place, Knight says life in St Andrews allowed them to get to know each other as friends first "without prying eyes."
Although Knight and William grew apart after university, Knight reveals the student life William led and how it laid the foundations for a wedding the world will be watching on April 29.

Two air traffic controllers fired for sleeping on duty

The Federal Aviation Administration has fired two air traffic controllers, one of whom worked in Knoxville, Tennessee, and the other in Miami, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said Wednesday.
Both were fired for sleeping incidents, according to the Transportation Department.
The firings followed a spate of incidents in which controllers in various cities were reported to be sleeping while on duty.
The controllers fired Wednesday were not identified, but one such sleeping incident at the Miami Air Route Traffic Control Center was among the most recently reported, with the FAA suspending a unidentified controller there last Saturday.
In February, a controller was found sleeping while on duty in the radar room at the McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville. The FAA said earlier this month it was taking steps to fire that controller.
Aside from Miami and Knoxville, cases of sleeping controllers have been reported in Washington; Seattle, and Reno, Nevada. There have been two suspected cases in Lubbock, Texas.
All the incidents occurred during controllers' midnight shifts. Most -- though not all -- of the lapses occurred at local control towers.
In at least one incident, the FAA has said the controller deliberately went to sleep, while some of the others appear to have been accidental.
In response to the reports, top officials from the FAA and the air traffic controllers' union began a cross-country tour of air traffic control facilities this week to hold a series of meetings about safety and professionalism.
And federal officials announced a series of new regulations Saturday aimed at preventing air traffic controllers from falling asleep while on duty.
Among other things, controllers now must have a minimum of nine hours off between shifts, instead of the current minimum of eight hours, LaHood said. In addition, controllers can no longer be put on an unscheduled midnight shift following a day off.
FAA managers also will schedule their own shifts so as to ensure greater coverage in the early morning and late night hours, the secretary added.
LaHood said the FAA and the air traffic controllers' union agreed to implement changes immediately following the series of recent incidents involving sleeping air traffic controllers.

Wendy Williams brings personal experience to new 'Love Triangle' show

Wendy Williams hosts a new "adult" show "Love Triangle" on The Game Show Network and says she's bringing some personal experience.

Williams admit that is was "very easy" for her to be in a love triangle in the past because she found herself admiring different things in two different men but didn't want to marry either of them.
"I don't just say it like I mean it, I see it for what it is," Williams told the Associated Press in a recent interview. "Like this guy right here is good for these great lobster meals during these lean times in my life, but I don't like how he treats his mother and he's not husband material, so I'm not thinking about him - this one right here blows my back out, but there is more to life than just sex, so guess what, I don't want either one of these people for keepers, so why should I choose?"
In the new dating show, Williams will invite one person who is involved with two people without them knowing about each other and with the use of lie detector tests and an "inquisitive host," the person will be forced to choose who they want to build a life with.
"This is an adult show," Williams told the Associated Press. "It is not for children, I don't want to hear about an 18 or 20-year-old being caught in a love triangle. I like to hear about that 35-year-old who's been seeing two people and sleeping with both but neither one knows about each other and then they come out on my couch and we learn that he or she's been sleeping with both and then I ask, 'Who's better in bed?' 'cause that's the kind of host I am! That's the kind of show this is."
Williams was recently eliminated from season 12 of "Dancing With The Stars" and the busy host had to juggle her schedule with her talk show "The Wendy Williams Show," a radio show and her family life with the grueling dance training. Williams said after the elimination that the experience was "bittersweet."
"'Dancing With The Stars' is something that tested my attitude quite a bit," Williams told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "It's not easy to be judged for something you've never claimed to be good at and get scores that you don't feel as though you deserve... It's bitter because nobody likes to get cut. It's sweet because I get back to my gorgeous son, my supportive husband, my wonderful staff of 'The Wendy Show' and the business of running Wendy."

Glenn Beck accused of using work of conservative bloggers and others without attribution

Glenn Beck, the outgoing Fox News personality who was bothered with a blade of wheat grass recently in an attempt to maintain a vegan diet, is being accused by conservative bloggers of a long-running practice of taking some of their material and using it without crediting them.
"This is the most ridiculous charge I've ever heard," Beck said Monday, quickly adding that if he has inadvertently taken something without credit that he is sorry. "If I have not attributed someone, I apologize for that. I can't imagine how it has happened other than thousands of hours of broadcast," Beck said, and then went back to joking about how he "stole" from his best friend when he paid him for a catchphrase.
Big Government's Andrew Breitbart told The Daily Caller that Beck's unethical ways and most recent slogan make it hard for him not to appear as a hypocrite. "Sometimes he also uses other peoples' work without crediting them, making it appear as though it were his own," Breitbart, who runs several conservative blogs said. "But especially since adopting 'The Truth Has No Agenda' slogan – and trying to deliberately re-position himself as the pious conscience and judge of many of those he took content from – he has exposed himself to his new motto’s unforgiving standard."
The Daily Caller fielded complaints from conservative blogs like AtlasShrugs.com, Jihad Watch, and RebelPundit.com who all accused Beck of using their research and know-how, sometimes even promising to credit the blog on television, but in the end failing on the promise.
Douglas Stewart, of Yahoo's Associated Content, sent some insights to Beck surmising how the State Department probably knew about the Egyptian uprising before it went down, he told TheDC. Beck read the information on air but never credited Stewart or Associated Content, Steward said.  In fact Stewart later found some of the content as part of a "study guide" about Egypt on GlennBeck.com.
The Beck camp apparently finds all of this amusing. A blog post on GlennBeck.com has a headline that reads "Glenn Beck is a thief! Or something…" along with a video (seen below) from Monday's radio show where Beck and his sidekick laugh at the claims.
